Why I started The Zodiac

Life's a bit shit, isn't it? Everywhere you go you find some asshole treating minorities with little to no respect, rising prices and just general assery. And now that Donald Trump has won the 2024 US elections it is most likely going to get even shitter.

I've also noticed that a large amount of news outlets barring a few are relatively right leaning (Daily Mail, The Sun, Fox News, Daily Wire, New York Post etc.). I feel like there has never really been a truly left-wing outlet, which is why I started The Zodiac.

This site will post news from the perspective of a leftie sick of all the nastiness in the world coming from the right (and indeed the left sometimes too). A lot of these articles will be written in an informal and jokey manner befitting to how I would usually type, and I promise to treat any disadvantaged group with dignity and respect.

Another thing I should add - while this site is hosted on Wix (an Israeli company) The Zodiac condemns the actions that the IDF have committed in Gaza and Lebanon; the choice to use Wix is more of a desperate measure to ensure that the site is up and running. Please do not let that fact deter you from the site - I hope to eventually move it off of Wix and find a new host.
