Family Guy returns to Adult Swim

Seth MacFarlane's magnum opus Family Guy is to return to Adult Swim's weekday schedule after 4 years. This is important as both the show and Adult Swim have had a long history together; Family Guy was cancelled by massive knobcheese and phone hacker Rupert Murdoch's Fox network after 3 seasons, leading Cartoon Network (home of The Powerpuff Girls funnily enough) to buy the rights to air it on their then-new Adult Swim block. The show gained enough traction on there for ol' Rupie to realize his mistake and brought the show back, where it continues to air to this day. In other words, Family Guy owes it's continued existence to CN.
In 2019, an increasingly monopolistic Disney acquired entertainment assets from Murdoch's 21st Century Fox, including the 20th Century Fox studio, and with it it's library, including Family Guy (they did NOT acquire the Fox network as they already own ABC, meaning it remains with Mr. Cuntyface). Two years later, Adult Swim's license to broadcast Family Guy expired and the show currently airs on multiple other Disney and non-Disney networks, like FXX, Freeform and Comedy Central (home of South Park, even more funnily enough). The new deal with AS is not exclusive, and Mr. Pumpkin Eater will continue to show his face on the aforementioned networks.
Fuck Rupert Murdoch by the way.
